Loyola, Carmel Catholic Claim #1 Seeds
Loyola Academy captured the #1 seed in the IHSLA State Championship series for the third time in four years. The Ramblers dominated the regular season by accumulating a 12-0 record while averaging 14 goals per game and holding opponents to an average of 3 goals per game. The New Trier Trevians took the #2 spot in the tournament.

Carmel Catholic won the top seed position in the IHSLA Lacrosse Cup series with a 16-4 regular season record. The Corsairs hope to redeem themselves after coming up short in the Lacrosse Cup final in 2016. While South Elgin was atop the standings board in the B-Division throughout the regular season, Carmel's strong performance against A-Division neighbor Grayslake North on the last day of competition propelled them to the top spot. South Elgin will compete from the #2 spot in the tournament.
